THE BEST TIPS TO KNOW YOUR STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES! (self-help, motivation, personal growth, personal development, self-improvement, self-esteem)

If you want to do anything in your life, you must know your own strengths and weaknesses. If you want to initiate anything in your life, you should know your own strengths and weaknesses. If you want to pursue your goal, you ought to know your own strengths and weaknesses.

Because without knowing your own strengths and weaknesses, you couldn’t move forward in your life; it will become like taking a blind step in the swampy place. It is the knowledge of your own strengths and weaknesses that will help you to evaluate and judge your own caliber and potential, whether you will able to move forward or not, whether you will able to accomplish your goal or not.

In other words, when you know your own strengths and weaknesses before you do anything, you can easily polish and sharpen your own strengths and rectify and amend your own weaknesses. And you can prepare yourself wholly.

“In most cases, strengths and weaknesses are two sides of the same coin. A strength in one situation is a weakness in another, yet often the person can’t switch gears, it’s a very subtle thing to talk about strengths and weaknesses because almost always they’re the same thing.”

                                                                                    ---Steve Jobs

What will happen if a soldier starts fighting against the enemy soldier without knowing his strengths and weaknesses and vice versa?

What do you think?

Could he defeat the enemy soldier?

No.

There is not an iota of any chance.

He couldn’t defeat the enemy soldier without knowing his own strengths and weaknesses as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the enemy soldier. His defeat is 100% sure.

On the other hand, if he knows his own strengths and weaknesses as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the enemy soldier, he will able to polish and sharpen his strengths and rectify and amend his weaknesses, and at the same time he will able to study the strengths and weaknesses of the enemy soldier. And ultimately he will easily defeat the enemy soldier.

What about you? Do you know your own strengths and weaknesses?

“True success lies in knowing your weaknesses and playing to your strengths.”

---Sophia Amoruso

“Desire, enmity, comforts, sorrow, physical body, conscience, obstinacy etc. are the defects which dog this field (Body).”

                                                                                       ---Bhagwad Gita

The above verse from the Bhagwad Gita advises you:

• Give up your untamed desires and wishes; they will always divert your mind, heart and soul.

• Give up your enmity with anyone or anybody; it will ruin your strong bonding and good relationship with your own people.

• Give up your comforts; they will only make you idle and lethargic.

• Give up your sorrows; they will make your life like hell.

• Give up the attachment of your physical body; build it up strong and powerful so that you could utilize it for your right deeds.

• Give up your bad thoughts, bad dreams, bad intentions, bad ideas, bad plans, bad decisions and bad actions; they will spoil your life.

• Give up your stubbornness; it will lead you to your downfall and setback.

• Because your desire, enmity, comforts, physical body (i.e. attached to physical beauty), conscience (i.e. lack of sense of right or wrong) and obstinacy are the weaknesses which plague your life like a field is damaged by the unwanted weeds, creepers and wild plants.

DESIRE + ENMITY+ COMFORTS + PHYSICAL BODY + CONSCIENCE + OBSTINACY = RUIN YOUR LIFE

Anecdote:

Once, a ten year old boy who decided to study judo despite the fact that he had lost his left arm in a devastating car accident.

The boy began lessons with an old Japanese judo master. The boy was doing well, so he couldn’t understand why, after three months of training the master had taught him only one move.

“Sensei,” the boy finally said, “Shouldn’t I be learning more moves?”

“This is the only move you know, but this is the only move you’ll ever need to know,” the sensei replied.

Not quite understanding, but believing in his teacher, the boy kept training.

Several months later, the sensei took the boy to his first tournament. Surprising himself, the boy easily won his first two matches. The third match proved to be more difficult, but after some time, his opponent became impatient and charged; the boy deftly used his one move to win the match. Still amazed by his success, the boy was now in the finals.

This time, his opponent was bigger, strongerand more experienced. For a while, the boy appeared to be over matched. Concerned that the boy might get hurt, the referee called a time-out. He was about to stop the match when the sensei intervened.

“No,” the sensei insisted, “Let him continue.”

Soon after the match resumed, his opponent made a critical mistake: he dropped his guard. Instantly, the boy used his move to pin him. The boy had won the match and the tournament. He was the champion.

On the way to home, the boy and sensei reviewed every move in each and every match. Then the boy summoned the courage to ask what was really on his mind.

“Sensei, how did I win the tournament with only one move?”

“You won for two reasons,” the sensei answered. “First, you’ve almost mastered one of the most difficult throws in all of judo. And second, the only known defense for that move is for your opponent to grip your left arm.”

The boy’s biggest weakness had become his biggest strength.
