DON’T STOP! DO YOUR WORK! JUST GO ON!

Do you want to do something great in your life? Do you want to reach to the greatest milestone in your life? Do you want to achieve something grand in your life? Do you want to accomplish your aims and objectives? Do you want to attain your grand success and triumph?

If your answer is yes, then don’t stop. Do your work and just go on. Don’t stop until you will not reach to your own destiny. Don’t turn back. Don’t wait. Don’t rest. Don’t lose your vision. Just go on and on.

For instance, be like a flowing river. A river never stops its journey until it will not reach to the mighty ocean.

“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.”

                                                                                              ---Confucius

“O Arjuna, your duty is in doing your deed. And not in its consequences. Hence, do not get keyed up to the fruits of your labor. But don’t think of dereliction your duty also. It does not mean that if the fruits of labor are inconsequential then why do the labor at all?”

                                                                             ---Bhagwad Gita

The above verse from the Bhagwad Gita advises you:

• Your foremost duty is to do your good deeds.

• But, don’t keep your eyes only on the consequences of your deeds.

• You have to do your good deeds.

• Your responsibility is doing your hard work.

• But, don’t expect about the results of your hard work.

• Don’t think in your mind to abandon your duty.

• Since, the moment you will abandon your duty, the very moment you will degrade your own life.

• If the result of your hard work is insignificant, it doesn’t mean that you will stop your hard work.

• Your duty is to work hard.

• You are born to perform your duty and your good deeds.

Why many people failed in their great endeavors and missions?

They failed in their great endeavors and missions, because they stop in the middle before the completion of their endeavors and missions.

It is clearly signified in the story of ‘the Hare and the Tortoise’.

Anecdote:

A Hare was making fun of the Tortoise one day for being so slow.

“Do you ever get anywhere?” he asked with a mocking laugh.

“Yes,” replied the Tortoise, “and I get there sooner than you think. I’ll run you a race and prove it.”

The Hare was much amused at the idea of running a race with the Tortoise, but for fun of the thing he agreed. So the Fox, who had consented to act as judge, marked the distance and started the runners off.

The Hare was soon far out of sight, and to make the Tortoise feel very deeply how ridiculous it was for him to try a race with a Hare, he lay down beside the course to take a nap until the Tortoise should catch up.

The Tortoise meanwhile kept going slowly but steadily, and, after a time, passed the place where the Hare was sleeping. But the Hare slept on very peacefully; and when at last he did wake up, the Tortoise was near the goal. The Hare now ran his swiftest, but he could not overtake the Tortoise in time.

What happened in this story?

In this story, the Hare is more capable than the Tortoise to win the race, however the Hare stopped in the middle of the race and he decided to take some rest. On the other hand, even though the poor Tortoise was slow in his move, he didn ’t stop and continued his race until he wouldn’t reach to the goal. And finally the Tortoise won the race.

What is the moral of this story?

• Focus on your goal.

• Never take rest until you wouldn’t reach to the goal of your life.

“Don’t let anything stop you. There will be times when you’ll be disappointed, but you can’t stop. Make yourself the best that you can make out of what you are. The very best.

                                                 ---Sadie Tanner Mossell Alexander
