HOW DO YOU BECOME DISCIPLINED IN YOUR LIFE? (Self-help, motivation, personal growth, personal development, self-improvement, self-esteem)

Without discipline, a student will never clear his exam. Without discipline, the soldiers will never defeat their enemy soldiers. Without discipline, the players will never win any game. Without discipline, a family will never become happy and prosperous. Without discipline, you will always become unhappy, anxious and stressful.

“Discipline is built by consistently performing small acts of courage.”

---Robin Sharma

Let us suppose that there are two men, Mr. A and Mr. B.

Mr. A always wakes up early in the morning; he always goes to sleep early at night; he has enough time to do his regular physical exercise and yoga; he always maintains his balance diet; he is always on time for his office; he has enough time for himself as well as for his family members; everything is orderly managed in his life. He is a happy and cheerful man. He lives a disciplined lifestyle.

On the other hand, Mr. B always wakes up late in the morning; he always sleeps at late night; he has no time to do any physical exercise and yoga; he eats, drink and dine whatever he gets; he is always late in his office; he has no time for himself as well as for his family members; everything is disordered in his life. He is an unhappy, sick and depressed man. He lives an undisciplined lifestyle.

Which of the lifestyles of the two men do you prefer to live?

Mr. A’s lifestyle or Mr. B’s lifestyle.

Discipline means → Your joy and happiness

Indiscipline means → Your sadness and sorrow

“When the yogi, by practice of yoga, disciplines his mental activities and becomes situated in transcendence in yoga.”

                                                                     ---Bhagwad Gita

The above verse from the Bhagwad Gita advices you:

• You should always focus on your work.

• You should always practice yourself to become disciplined in your life.

• You should make your mind discipline.

• You shouldn’t allow your mind to wander anywhere without your consent.

• When you able to make your mind discipline, you can easily make your thoughts discipline.

• And when your thoughts become disciplined, you can easily lead your thoughts to the right actions.

• When your actions will become right, you will lead your life to the path of righteousness.

• Your discipline is the only way to achieve your joy, happiness, prosperity and peace.

What is discipline?

Discipline means anything which is regularly, order, control and obedience.

Q. What will happen if you are irregular in your work or job?

You will fire from your work or job.

Q. What will happen if everything is a disorder in your life?

You will get disturbed, and everything becomes chaos in your life. Your life will become like hell.

Q. What will happen if you are out of control?

You will lose your mental balance and break down.

Q. What will happen if you are disobedient?

You will become directionless and purposeless in your life.

Therefore, always maintain your discipline. Without discipline, you will become irregular, disorder, disturb and disobedient in your life.

Anecdote:

Once upon a time there lived a very pious saint. He had many disciples and was very well loved.

One day while taking a walk with his disciples in the beautiful mountains of Tibet, he listened to his students talk about their dreams and lives. He considered himself extremely blessed to have such passionate students. However, they were also very competitive.

“What qualities do we need to get success in life?” He asked his students.

“Talent,” one replied.

“Good luck,” the other replied.

“Favorable circumstances,” said another.

The saint sat down with them around a tree and asked them to watch the two farms in front of them.

The children obeyed and looked at two farms where the farmers were ploughing the land. In one farm, the farmer had seven oxen and in the other, the farmer only had two.

In the farm where the farmer had better equipment, the land was ploughed faster and soon enough the farmer was done with his work. In the other farm, even though it took more work, the farmer did not stop and worked harder.

As evening fell, the farmer was done with his work too.

Both the farmers succeeded.

The saint turned to his disciples and said, “Some people have to work harder  than  others  to  achieve something; some have natural talent while others have to practice for it, some people have better luck than others but in the end even if the ploughing fields are uneven you succeed only if you are hardworking and disciplined.”

What is the moral of this story?

• If you have a lack of resources, don’t worry.

• With your discipline and hard work, you can fulfill everything.

• If you have a lack of talent, don’t worry.

• With your discipline and hard work, you can gain your hidden talent.

• If you have bad luck, don’t worry.

• With your discipline and hard work, you can defeat your bad luck.

• Always remember that disciplined and hard works are the key to your success.

A Disciplined Man:

• He always maintains his discipline.

• He is always regular in his work or job.

• He maintains order in his life.

• He knows how to control himself.

• He always lives a balance life.

• He leads his own life.

• He is self-reliant.

• He is active in his every approach.

• He knows his own responsibility.

• He has proper direction and purpose in his life.

An Indiscipline Man:

• He is indiscipline.

• He is always irregular in his work or job.

• He doesn’t know how to maintain order in his life.

• He doesn’t know how to control himself.

• He always lives an imbalanced life.

• He lives an aimless life.

• He is always dependent on others.

• He is idle in his every approach.

• He always remains irresponsible.

• He is directionless and purposeless.

“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.”

 ---Jim Rohn
