Increase your self-esteem

People with low self-esteem rarely achieve their potential. They won’t take necessary risks, they wallow in self-blame, they can’t trust others, and they remain in the background when they are needed up front. Can you elevate your self-worth?

                                           Yes, you can!

* Get angry enough to do what it takes to reverse the losses you suffer as a result of your low self-regard. Don’t tolerate another awful day of the status quo.

* If you hold deep-seated spiritual beliefs, fall back on them. Many religions provide believers with an inner power that builds self-esteem.

* Elevate other human beings. Teach them something to improve their lives. Serve them. Help them achieve goals they can’t reach by themselves. Empower them to succeed. Watch your inner self grow as a result.

* Write down three personal development goals. At the beginning of each day ask yourself, “what will I do to work on one of my goals today?” let the pursuit and achievement of these goals lifts your self-concept.

* Make a list of your most important accomplishments in the past twelve months. Study the list. None of them may get into the Guinness Book of Records, but you have made a difference in the lives of others.

* Talk about your low self-esteem to someone whose opinion you respect. Get ready for a shock when this person tells you how valuable you are.

* Write an essay that answers these questions: What life experiences have led you to devalue yourself? What price do you pay for feeling the way you do-how much does it hold you back? Are you angry enough about what is going on to want to make a change? What’s your plan? When will you start?

We get back in life what we give to others! (Moral Story)

There was a farmer who sold a pound of butter to the baker. One day the baker decided to weight the butter to see if he was getting a pound and he found that he was not. This angered him and he took the farmer to court. The Judge asked the farmer if he was using any measure. The farmer replied, “ Your honor, I am primitive. I don’t have a proper measure, but I do have a scale.” The judge asked, “ Then how do you weight the butter?” The farmer replied, “ Your homour, long before the baker started buying butter from me, I have been buying a pound loaf of bread from him. Every day when the baker brings the bread, I put it on the scale and give him the same weight in butter. If anyone is to be blamed, it is the baker.” What is the moral of the story? We get back in life what we give to others. Whenever you take an action, ask yourself this question: Am I giving fair value for the wages or money I hope to make? Honesty and dishonesty become a habit. Some peopl...

Trust Almighty God!

A businessman was returning home on horseback from the annual fair in a nearby city. He had quite a big sum of money with him. It was raining heavily and the poor man was wet to the skin. He was in a bad mood and grumbled that God had given him such terrible weather for his journey. He entered a thick forest. All of a sudden, to his horror, he found himself face to face with a bandit whose finger was already on the trigger of his gun. He would not have been saved from death, except for the fact that the rain had caused the powder to dampen and the gun was useless. The businessman spurred his horse and happily escaped the danger. When he was out of danger he said to himself: “How stupid I was to moan about the bad weather, instead of accepting it patiently as a gift of God. If there had been a clear sky and the air dry and limpid, I would now be lying in a ditch covered in blood and in vain would my children wait my arrival. The rain which I was ready ...

Always good to yourself and good to all

As saying goes, you’re your own friend; you’re your own foe. Everybody is your friend. Nobody is your foe. If you treat them well, they’ll also treat you well. If you’ll do good deeds today, tomorrow you’ll get its good result. Because good things always guide you like a friend; and bad things always misguide you like a foe. If you ever grow thorny bushes on your land, then what you’ll get, you’ll always get thorny bushes. However, if you grow flowering plant or fruit, you’ll always get blooming flowers or laden fruits. Good people never get trap in any big trouble, even God helps them. No doubt, sometimes, they are tested by the bitter situations in their lives. But they always smile happily at the end. If you’re good to yourself and good to all, you’ll never fall in any trouble in your life, because the whole world will come to you in your rescue before anything happens. Everything counts in your life- both good and bad. These are the two sides of a same coin. Good ...
