WHAT IS FRIENDSHIP?

The great Roman orator, Cicero, in his celebrated treatise of Friendship, remarks with that it increases happiness and diminishes misery by doubling our joy and dividing our grief. When we do well, it is delightful to have friends who are so proud of our success that they receive as much pleasure from it as we do ourselves. For the friendless man the attainment of wealth, power, and honour is of little value. Such possessions contribute to our happiness the most by enabling us to do good to others, but if all those whom we are able to benefit are strangers, we take far less pleasure in our beneficence than if it were exerted on behalf of the friends whose happiness is as dear to us as our own. Further, when we do our duty in spite of temptation, the mental satisfaction obtained from the approval of our conscience is heightened by the praise of our friends: for judgment is as it were a second conscience, encouraging us in good and deterring us from evil. Our amusements have little zest and soon fall upon us if we engage in them in solitude, or with uncongenial companies, for whom we can feel no affection. Thus in every case our joys are rendered more intense and more permanent by being shared with friends.

It is equally true that, as Cicero points out, friendship diminishes our misery by enabling us to share its burden with others. When fortune has infected a heavy unavoidable blow upon us, our grief is alleviated by friendly condolence and by the thought that, as long as our friends are left to us, life is still worth living.

But many misfortunes which threaten us are not inevitable, and in escaping such misfortunes, the advice and active assistance of our friends may be invaluable. The friendless man stands alone, exposed without protection to his enemies and to the blows of fortune, but whoever has loyal friends is thereby provided with a strong defense against the worst that fortune can do to him.

Thus in good and ill fortune, in our work and in our hours of recreation, true friends is the most important means to the attainment of happiness and the alleviation or avoidance of misery. It must be remembered, however, that these remarks only apply to friends really worthy the name. The evil that may be affected by bad friends is as great as good secured by the possession of good friends. On this account the right selection of friends is of vital importance. We should choose our friends with the greatest care, and, when we have won them and found them worthy, we should take care to retain them till we are severed from them by death.

AS YOU BELIEVE AS YOU BECOME!

Once upon a time there was a small kingdom ruled by a very weak king. His kingdom was attacked by the neighbourhood kingdom every year. Every year his kingdom was looted and ruined by the neighbourhood kingdom. The poor king couldn’t stop the continuous aggressions from the neighbourhood kingdom.

He became more and more weak day by day. He was very upset and lost his all hopes. He believed that he never save his kingdom. He believed himself incapable. Soon he fell sick and became bedridden.

Then his queen took up all the responsibilities on her hands. She discussed all the matters of her kingdom with her ministers and generals. Thereafter she asked all of them to prepare for the final battle against the neighbourhood kingdom. She praised and encouraged her subjects and her soldiers to stand together against their strong enemy.

For complete one year she prepared her soldiers day and night for the battle.  After one year her soldiers were fully prepared to fight against the neighbourhood kingdom. The neighbourhood kingdom was unaware about all these developments.

As earlier the neighbourhood kingdom marched against the weak kingdom with full force. But they were unknown about their preparations and their might. The furious battle was fought between them. Before the mighty and courage of the small kingdom, the soldiers of the neighbourhood kingdom couldn’t stand for a long time in the battlefield. They laid down their swords and surrendered. Their king and generals, too, were surrendered before the queen of the small kingdom.

When the king of the small kingdom heard the news of victory, he got up from his sick bed and went to the battlefield to witness the glorious day of his life.

Thereafter the neighbourhood kingdom was come under the small kingdom. The small kingdom was no more weak kingdom, but it was became a mighty kingdom.
So the moral is very simple and very clear and that is believed. The king of small kingdom believed himself weak and small. That was the reason why he didn’t prepare for the battle from the very beginning against the neighbourhood kingdom, even though his kingdom was looted and ruined every year.

But his queen believed herself that her kingdom will defeat the enemy. So she praised and encouraged her subjects and her soldiers to stand together against their enemy. And finally her believed played the magic and won the battle.

What you do, what you act and what you think, you find only believe. Believe is the center of your perspectives, thoughts, wisdom and knowledge. It is your believe which rule you. You’re made of your believe. Not a single second you can’t live without believe. Without believe your life is meaningless. Without believe your world is meaningless. Without believe everything is meaningless. Without believe no life. Without believe no world. It is your believe that you’re living right now. Whatever you’re right now, whoever you’re right now is only because you believe yourself. As you believe as you become. No believe. Nothing.
